To proclaim oneself an heir to the imperial porcelain traditions of China is audacious. We trust our daring has met with your approval.
Middle Kingdom simultaneously celebrates the traditions of Chinese porcelain and creates new objects both subtle and elegant, We work to sustain the potter's art and pay homage to artistic achievements of the past, yet create a new classic standard.
Each piece is made exclusively in our kiln in Jingdezhen, China, where the imperial kilns were once located. From original drawings our master potters give form to the ideas of designer and company co-founder Bo Jia. At each stage in the creation of our wares, great attention is paid to both quality of workmanship and adherence to high aesthetic standards. As a result we create new wares imbued with the luster of eternity.
The handwritten Chinese inscription on the foot ring reads: "Middle Kingdom, Bo Jia Clan" in a six-character arrangement similar to a traditional reign mark.
